Kidza Books are written and illustrated for foundation phase learners who are learning to read. The degree of difficulty is indicated by one of three colour bands: yellow (ages 5-8), red (ages 7-9) and blue
(ages 8-10). However, the subject matter, illustrations and storylines are not limited to foundation phase learners. These readers are also designed for older learners who may be learning to read in a 2nd or 3rd language.
